Netanyahu vows to continue war amid air strike condemnation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue the war against Hamas amid international condemnation of an air strike that killed scores of Palestinians in Rafah on Sunday.

At least 45 people were killed, according to the Hamas-run health ministry, while hundreds more were treated for severe burns, fractures and shrapnel wounds.

Mr. Netanyahu said the strike was a "tragic mishap' but added: "I don't intend to end the war before every goal has been achieved."

He said it was vital that Israel took "every precaution possible" to protect civilians, and insisted that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) were using their "best efforts not to harm those uninvolved" in the conflict.

Rescued Elephant Can Finally Lay Down For The First Time In 80 Years

Grandma Somboon was stolen from the wild when she was just a baby and spent 80 years working in the logging and tourism industries.
She spent all day every day on her feet, giving rides to tourists and working long hours when she should have been living her life.

When "Save Elephant Foundation" learned about Somboon's plight, they knew they had to help her.

"It's time for Grandma to be cared for well and allowed to rest," the rescue wrote on Facebook.
"We're on a rescue mission to protect Somboon and transport her to her final true home."

In late January, Somboon was finally rescued from the place where she was forced to work her whole life and taken to the Elephant Nature Park sanctuary.
Somboon was skinny, missing teeth and suffering from dry, scaly skin when she arrived at her new home.

Despite it all, she seemed to know she was finally safe.

Last night at the Washington Hilton, DONALD TRUMP addressed an audience that was rowdy -- but not for the reasons he's accustomed to.

They weren't the MAGA faithful.
Heck, they weren't even Republicans.
They were there for the Libertarian Party's national convention.
And many of them were decidedly not on board with the former president's entreaties that they join with him to defeat JOE BIDEN.
By and large, they don't see him as an ally to their cause.

And Trump didn't exactly handle it diplomatically

"Within minutes of beginning speaking -- and after enduring sustained jeering and boos -- the former president turned on the third party, mocking it's poor electoral record in presidential elections even as he appealed to them for their endorsement," writes Brittany Gibson and Peder Schaefer.

"What's the purpose of the Libertarian Party....getting 3 percent?"
Trump asked the crowd, which proceeded to pelt him with jeers.
"You should nominate Trump for president only if you want to win."
